Since 2012 we have been committed to providing sustainable local island tours. We believe the idyllic white beaches, turquoise lagoons, clear warm waters, and coral reefs abundant with marine flora and fauna should be available to everyone regardless of budget.
We are committed to ensuring that people are the foundation of the Secret Paradise – our team, our local partners, and the local NGOs we support. We are mindful of ensuring we promote local tourism in line with Maldivian culture and traditions. Through education of both guests and locals, we aim to protect the environment and limit where ever possible any negative impact.
Sustainable Tours
All our tours are designed so that guests experience the natural beauty of the Maldives in a responsible way. Guests participate in activities commonly associated with the Maldives and also have the opportunity to engage with its people and culture firsthand. Our guests can become actively involved in conservation programs and learn how they too can be responsible during their stay in the Maldives.

Secret Paradise offers a complete tailor-made booking service for adventure operators, travel agents and group travel organizers. We can take care of everything from the moment of arrival to the time of departure.
As you would expect from a professional company we have robust SOPs, Health & Safety practices and conduct regular risk assessments of all our tours. We hold a valid tourism license and Professional Public Liability Insurance. In 2022 Wanderlust ranked us in their Top 10 Sustainable Initiative Tour Operators. In 2020, Secret Paradise received TripAdvisor Travelers Choice Award. In 2015, we were long-listed for the World Responsible Tourism Awards, and in 2020 were commended in the ‘Meaningful Connections’ category World Responsible Tourism Awards.

Accommodation
By staying in local island guest houses our guests are contributing to the local economy and increasing local employment. The properties we partner with are run by local island families where everyone is instrumental in the day-to-day running of the guest house.
Based in the Maldives we complete annual audits of all our carefully selected partner properties to ensure safety and standards are maintained as well as sourcing feedback from our guests.
Guides
Our Maldivian guides between them have years of local knowledge and expertise to share. They are passionate about sharing their country’s culture, history, and tradition, as well as their own personal experiences.
Our local guides all complete an in-house training program, including education on waste management and marine life. They too complete the Lead Amazing Tours program ensuring our guests receive only the best service and experience. For the safety of our guests, all our guides hold Emergency First Response certification and International LifeGuard Certification Level 3.
